At IteroGO ("we", "our"), operated by IteroGO LLC, we take the privacy of our users very seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Registration data

• Full name
• Email address
• Password (encrypted)
• Country and city
• Identity document (only for guides who monetize tours)

Profile data

• Profile photo (optional)
• Public alias (visible in reviews and tours)
• Biography (guides only)
• Languages spoken

Usage data

• Tours created, purchased and saved as favorites
• Reviews and ratings
• Guide and destination follow history
• GPS location data during tour playback (not stored on our servers)
• App usage statistics (Firebase Analytics)

Technical data

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• Error reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

2. Use of information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain and improve the Service
• Process payments and transactions through Stripe
• Send notifications about tours, updates and service changes
• Comply with legal and tax obligations
• Prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized use
• Generate aggregated and anonymous statistics about service usage

3. Public information

The following information is visible to other Service users:

• Your public alias
• Your profile photo (if provided)
• Your reviews and ratings
• Tours you create (if you are a guide)

4. Sharing information with third parties

We share data with the following service providers:

• Firebase (Google): authentication, data storage, analytics and push notifications
• Stripe: payment processing and guide account management
• Google Maps: map display and route calculation
• Google Cloud: voice synthesis (Text-to-Speech) and automatic translation

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Personal data protection in tours

• Guides may NOT include personal information of third parties in their tours
• Displaying phone numbers, emails or personal contact data in tours is prohibited
• Photographs included in tours must not contain identifiable personal data of third parties

6. Security

We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including data encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure storage in Firebase/Google Cloud, secure authentication with Firebase Auth, API key protection via Firebase App Check and encrypted storage of sensitive credentials on the device.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Erasure: request deletion of your account and personal data
• Portability: receive your data in a structured, readable format
• Objection: object to the processing of your data for certain purposes
• Restriction: request restriction of the processing of your data

You can exercise these rights by emailing privacidad@iterogo.com or by deleting your account directly from the app (Settings → Delete account).

8. Data retention

• We keep your data while your account is active
• When you delete your account, your personal data is erased within 30 days
• Transaction data is retained for the legally required period (typically 5-7 years)
• Published reviews are anonymized when the account is deleted

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses essential cookies for service operation and analytical cookies to improve user experience.

10. Minors

The Service is not intended for persons under 16 years of age. We do not intentionally collect data from minors. If we discover that we have collected data from a minor without parental consent, we will proceed to delete it.

11. International transfers

Your data may be transferred and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States (Firebase/Google Cloud, Stripe). These transfers are carried out with appropriate safeguards under the GDPR.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify important changes through the app or by email.
